I would agree the risks of buying a new home from Persimmon Group plc (Charles Church, Persimmon Homes etc) is too great, and not one I as a consumer should expose myself to.

Check out this site http://www.brand-newhomes.co.uk/ for advice on your new UK home.

Also be aware that this information, as from about 2000 onwards seems no longer correct, with many Charles Church home owners complaining about slow fixes (if at all) to defects, along with multiple attempts, usually following unproven methods not established good practices http://www.snagging.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21&sid=effb6095c08cd90a2e25d04953482a2b

Of note were the tales one heard from Charles Church staff of how the CML test had been passed with a little cheat.

http://brand-newhomes.co.uk/new_home_snagging_and_defect_research.htm I found this page very interesting reading, and suspect with Persimmon Homes (Charles Church) certain issues like plumbing and noisey floors (creaky, noisey, squeeky, squeaky, squeeking, squeaking, deflecting, springy, bouncy, unlevel floors) are above those percentages – I’ve seen and read about whole estates with such problems.

Persimmon Persimmon Persimmon, just what are the managers doing ???

Counting their bonuses for early completions I’d hazzard a guess 😉

Or banking them !!!
